R104 Water-Washable Paint & Varnish Remover
Paramose Water-Washable Paint and Varnish Stripper (P&V) is a strong dichloromethane based, fast working, non acidic, non caustic gel. Ideal for use on either horizontal or vertical surfaces effectively removing industrial paint and varnish whilst minimising the build up of messy residue.
- This product should not be used outside of an industrial facility.
- Wear suitable gloves, goggles and protective clothing. Cover the lid with a cloth and hold away from face during opening.
- Pour some paramose into a suitable container and replace top of can.
- Apply a generous even coat by brush. Do not over-brush.
- Leave between 20 - 40 minutes until the product reacts with the paint or varnish.
- For multi layered surfaces (5 or more), a second coat of paint and varnish stripper is recommended.
- Use a dabbing motion, without the need to remove the first coat.
- Check at intervals to see how the paint remover is working and remove softened paint with a scraper.
- Rub down with stainless steel wool and soapy water, on wood follow the grain.
Read and follow the Health & Safety Data Sheets as detailed in the separate MSDS
document. Ensure adequate ventilation at all times, DCM vapours are heavier than air
so extractors should be at low level. Paramose P&V must be shaken well before use
Always apply generous even coats. Do not try to spread the product too far, as this will
result in poor penetration and faster evaporation. Allow Paramose P&V to do its work
Do not use in confined spaces. Do not try to remove too quickly. Never let the surface
become too dry during treatment
